✅ SOLVED Can you folks help me ID this???

I found this item along the Niagara river in Upstate NY this summer and I have tried posting it on a couple forums under the Whatzit areas, but no one seems to know what it is. It was found in the same general area where I also found a 1909 Lincoln penny and a 1910 Model T hubcap. It is really quite strange looking, almost like some weird alien symbol or something (although I don't think aliens landed on this planet until the early 1950's. Any help identifying this item would be appreciated.

Judging by its shape and the location of the two attachment remains, my guess would be a bolo slide.

Looks like someone took an eye out of one of the old pewter Chinese dragon statues for a tie.

My wife thought that you might not have noticed that it contained the exact same item, which is why we responded that you were spot on with your ID.
