Seemed intresting to me because it is real oil painting and only paid 15.00 bucks tag on back reads Hubert Robert (French, 1773-1808 the old bridge (oil on canvas c 1775) national gallery of art Washington, D.C. Samuel h Kress collection

I'm not 100% sure, but from what I've read, Hubert Robert painted two paintings called The Old Bridge. One is supposed to be at the National Gallery in Washington, DC and the other one is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I think what you have is a reproduction of the original, but since I'm not looking at it in person, and you are, you might want to do more research on Hubert Robert. For $15.00, it certainly makes a nice display! Breezie

a lot of folks would do studies of paintings in museums... not as forgeries but for practice.
