Ohio. Nice find. It could be part of a bigger monument or information center. I hope you can remember where you found it and the exact position it was in. If not that information may be lost forever. It is important to never move signs/symbols when one finds them in the field. I would try placing the rock back exactly as you found it, as best as you can. take pictures of the area all around it. Hope it helps

Yes I know rite where I found it along with the other smaller ones also found gorget around the area about 10 years ago when I was a kid there was suppose to be old burail mound around where I found it but was washed away years ago here is some of the things I found
burial items with holes in them where wore for decoration, the items that were "knapped"with chips showing the work were made to sharpen the rock, in this case I suspect 'hide scrappers' to get rid of the fat off the hide to make robes and blankets, neolithic in age, appox 10-20 thousand years ago- good finds be sure to check your state laws for possessing such items, the first rock not sharpened, was more than likely a bone cracker used to get the marrow out of the
bone, the design /i have seen on various items of the Neolithic age, taken from the design of the rattlesnake, today we call it the diamond back rattler~!
