Maybe match it up on Ebay.
Looks like an old railroad lock to me.
Lots of keys there as well.
Search "railroad lock".

I’d run it by a good locksmith. As to the maker, I have no idea. I found a similar one last month that I still can’t ID

My first thought was 'railroad style lock' as well. :thumbsup:

I've always assumed that any locks the railroad's used were stamped with their names.
Of course, back in the day the companies that made the locks must've also sold them through the standard retail hardware store.

This may be why the lock has now makers name on it. :icon_scratch:

There is not stamping marks on it anywhere. Yes rr locks are usually stamped

As you look at locks, try to match the "9"-shaped keyhole and single "dimple" at the 1 o'clock position on the front side. Of the 100 or so I look at on Google, these characteristics are less common. Good luck!
