SANCTA ANNA ORA PRO NOBIS

Secret Harbour - Portus Secretioris: Sancta Anna, ora pro nobis

She was allegedly Christ's grandmother on his mother's side.

All Beautiful Catholic Beads: St Anne chaplet in Aquamarine

Medal: A stunning St Anne medal. This is one of my very favourite medals as it depicts the Child Jesus stretched out upon the tree ~ the root of Jesse. While the title "Root of Jesse" is one attributed to Our Lady, it was also attributed to St Anne as well. It has the Latin words, "Pro Eis" on the front. On the reverse side is a 'S' and 'A' intertwined together, with the Latin inscription that reads: "Sancta Anna, ora pro nobis".
