Can anyone Identify these lead books ?

First of all welcome. We need MUCH more information. Your location. Where this stuff was found, etc. Please put your location in your profile. I promise nobody is going to track you down and steal your stuff... Looks like a pretty cool & VERY old book but I know nothing about this sort of thing. For all I know it could be a Chinese reproduction of something old. I'm also a little confused about the pictures. Are there more than one book ? Some pictures show 2 rings where it hinges and some show 3. You're not giving us much to go on.

I'd recommend not cleaning it. How many do you have? It seems there is some controversy surrounding these books whether or not they are legitimate, but they could be from very early Christianity.

They look genuine but who am I to know! Probably from a long lost civilization that died off from Lead poisoning. Just saying as using Lead for Codices could not be good for them or their children!

ok the more I look at the Coin & try to match it to a shekel :(
the more I Don't see a PI Symbol above the Chalice. or LE to the left

yours altAn7UuPNENTJBVhS1s3gSjwdZ6oRqfIiZmVrgrmFtHR_p.jpgaltAlMhyZzlZoHERnfnSOlH-x_nytYK5MSY8gTSecNwApeC.jpg

Real shekelindex.jpg

Add to that PI is Greek ? right ?
and no Crown on the real shekel

I'm starting to think the coin is a fantasy piece, which may place the Books in that category too. :(

But Hopefully I'm Wrong.
as they look Very Old & Valuable.

The coin appears to be a replica of a Judaean First Jewish War coin (66-70 AD) but the date (yr. 1 though yr. 5) that would be immediately above the chalice is an image not consistent with any number 1 through 5 as would appear on an authentic coin.
Don.......

Guys I don't think its fake . Because I found it buried in a cave from the inside looks like a temple north of Saudia Arabia u can tell that by seeing all the dirt on the books , also they said there was a Jewish tribe lived there.
There are 2 books , one of them with 3 rings and the other with 2 also there is a one made of gold not lead but I don't have the pictures of it
