I know Waterbury was the primary manufacturer of these Air Force Buttons, but this one is clearly by some other company. Anyone know this backmark?

When I looked on line I see a bunch of buttons marked L&R Metal Productions Corporation Bronx NY

Guessing that's it...just an alternative backmark.

Not sure how old, but nice find!

Bingo! Thanks...dead on! The button was missing the backplate which would have had L&R's company spelled out around the rim, the same way Waterford's does it.

Cheers,

Frank
