Can anyone help with this art

Very odd print style I will be able to tell print when I figure out more about it....... On very heavy board and had 1847 on the back when I took it out of frame

This tag is not on mine

But I found image in reverse image and this tag was on the back of that image........ So I'm guessing artist name is on this tag in different language

I believe this is called a monotype print

Can't really help you, other than to point out that the language is Dutch, and the last line on the lable is an address. Haarlem is in the Netherlands.

Frederik Hendrik Smit or Frits H. jr. Smit was an engraver and graphic artist who was born in 1892. If he was an engraver, he may have done the print of this original painting but because the painting is dated 1847, I don't think he is the original artist.

Hey DC thanks for the help that tag is not from mine it's from another of the same image I found in reverse image search..........never mind DC I get what your saying do you think 1847 is the date
