The white looks like calcite to me, try a hardness test on it, let us know! :icon_thumright: Also, If it is calcite, some vinegar will make it bubble, quartz, it won't.

Thanks for the info. Im fairly new to collecting Trippy rocks, whatnots and dewhickeys. I only do it when i visit AZ to see my mom. They dont have this kinda finds at the beach where i live. Too many people all fished out. Sorry to bore you with my ramblings what i am saying is i really dont know jack about rocks so Hardness test?. Is that where you like scratch it on tile. Can you please enlighten me. Thank you

Thanks for your reply. Yes it scratches. Now what do we do?. Just to B.S. with ya I guess im a Geologist too cause you describe me to a tee but you left out Extremely Handsome, oh yeah dont leave out Vain. etc.lol. just saying i feel ya bro. Im a Starving Creative Omnipotent Artist. It must be the ists at the end of our Title that binds us. I just have a sick sense of humor, plus im board so forgive me if go to stray.

So, it's likely calcite. A drop of vinegar and some bubbling and fizzling will confirm the ID.

Yeah? I'm also a staving artist; but a lapidary one. I'm not a geologist, but I like the joke.:laughing7:
