VERY VERY OLD :laughing9:. I GUESS AROUND EARLY 1900 DUE TO THE FACT IVE FOUND SEVEAL LIKE THAT AT HOME IN THE 1900

My grandparents house was built in 1906, used this type of locks...
 

I think all the doors inside my 121 year old house has those locks and door knob turns and not 1 works :laughing7: Nice find :thumbsup: Jim

They just need to be taken out , opened up , cleaned out and oiled. They'll work fine for another 121 years. I do it in alot of older homes I work on , including my own. If you go out and buy new standard locks for doors you'll be lucky if you get 15 years out of them and not be able to fix them. It takes about 20 minutes to take out and put back.

I have fixed 2 i only have 1 skeleton key that works the others a few are to worn , sometimes out here i do find skeleton keys since all the homes are very old WD 40 works great :thumbsup:
 

liven in a house with them but i had no key wish i did
