no, I can see its broken, off-set means the bar is set back from the buckle frame

thats kool,it must have been a fancy one because of the beveled edges and the remnants of the silver plating that still exist on parts of it.

Yeap, had lots of plated/chromed horse buckles (rarely silver, although they look it)

i'll take your word for it,somehow it wound up 6 inches deep in a site thats a mile in the woods, produces nothing but late 18th to early 19th century finds,with no modern trash.curious how things work
