I went back to the campus today. I have been busy working other sites and haven’t been to the college for over 2 months. Today I decided to go back and work on one of the sports fields. I had started gridding the field but didn’t finish. I have found civil war bullets, buttons and 2 large cents on the field and was hoping for more luck. I spent 4.5 hours in the heat continuing the grid and digging all mid and high tones with the CZ21.
I ended up with 26 coins with a face value of $1.44, an old horseshoe, some screw in spikes, a key, a ring, an earring, some can slaw, a few nails and a large handful of tabs.
No oldies today, but I did end up with a small silver earring and a titanium ALWAYS AND FOREVER ring with a teeny tiny diamond.
So a little gas money, another silver for the pile, another ring and safe social distancing fresh air fun. You never know what will come out of the ground next. Maybe next time I will find another Cherokee nation civil war button (this is where I found one a while back). Thanks for looking, stay safe and may your coil lead you to good things.
