[Floater]

Looking for advice on cameras and which one so i can get the close ups sharp. I just dont have the knack. Help appreciated.

Hi Floater.

I use that 5 MP Kodak EasyShare DX 4530. It has a closeup function that turns off the flash and does a pretty good job IF the camera isn't jiggled. Moving the camera while taking a picture is what ruins most digital photos. Another problem is not having the camera the proper distance from the object to be photographed.

Some buy a photo copy stand with sidelighting and support the object to be photographed up off the copy stand base. Spectacular coin photos may be had this way. Check online and you will find some excellent ideas.
