My Sweet Wife & I came back to be with Family for Easter Weekend. Her & her Mother were going to Springfield for appointments today and I was given the option to go hunting. A no brainer😁!
I did some random driving and got a permission that took about an hour and a half. Only got a couple green Wheats and a bunch of clad. Took off and found a few small yards with a curb strip in an old area of town. Landed permission for all three and took off. After the 2 hour mark I had only gotten 3 Wheats altogether. I was considering heading back, but My Wife called and said she’d be a couple more hours before they head back. I kept going, and very glad I did!
The next good signal after the call was a 1903 Barber Quarter😳! Sweet!!! In the next hour and a half I found a 1942 Merc , a 2 Cent piece, a Shield Nickel that’s super wore, an old strawberry token, and 9 wheats altogether . So glad I didn’t stop🤦‍♂️ Silver#21fty!!
This was an amazing hunt for Me!! Thank You for looking & Happy Hunting!!!!!

That’s a great hunt! Springfield definitely has a lot of history. Long time established and inhabited,
a couple of civil war battles, etc.

Super fantastic

Great state Missouri is. Gotta be a lot more to find in its borders. I had the state as a territory at one time. I was so inspired by all the old historic places I'd see driving across the state. I'd always drive the back roads instead of the interstates and main highways.

I love road tripping and stopping at old spots in Missouri. Very productive there 😁
