decided to go out for a short hunt before the snowstorm tomorrow.it was 60 degrees so perfect weather to hunt. the first place I hunted was a new permission so about a hour into the hunt thinking it might be a bust I got a sweet 81 reading on my t-2. dug and out came a what I thought was a button with US on one side.into the pocket it went.later another good 83 hit and down about 8 inches pop out the large 1840 large cent. I hunted about another hour with no luck.on the way home I decided to stop at a place ive hit several times before. after about a hour later as I was headed back to my truck I got a broken hit in the range of 73 but the signal was deep at 10 inches. that little voice in my head keep saying dig it but I was tired and as I started to leave that little voice kept saying dig this signal, glad I did because I dug my 3rd Spanish silver in the last 2 weeks,a 1787 holed coin. when I got home and cleaned the first copper I was very surprised that after 18 years I dug my first nova constellation!!!

Killer old coin hunt, congratulations! :occasion14:

Great old coins, we don't see such goodies here in Wyoming. That new permission seems to have sweet potential, hope ya find more of the same!

In Oregon you can find many of those, (but only in pictures like yours).
