In the news this week, a Southern California man was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was learned he owned 100 guns and had (by rough estimate) 1 million rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also has a secret escape tunnel.

The television reporter said: "Wow! He has about a million machine gun bullets!", and the headline referred to it as a "massive weapons cache."

By California standards someone owning even 100,000 rounds would be called "mentally unstable."

If he lived elsewhere, such as Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector."

In Oklahoma, he'd be called "a novice gun collector."

In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.

In Montana, he'd be called "the neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."

In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."

In Wyoming, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor."

and...

In Texas, he'd be called "a Huntin' Buddy!"

--------------

Yep! That's what we'd call him!

The story is talking in past tense (owned) or (had)...

Probably because DHS confiscated all that Ammo and Guns now and added it to their arsenal.

There is no limit to the amounts of Guns and Ammo a person can have, he should not be under watch, and he should not have been bothered in the first place. I hope he sues them for enough to buy a billion rounds like they have.

i remember reading something once, it was about Ted Nugent, it said things you will never hear him say ( i need more ammo) lol i always liked that one, and yea that pretty much sums it up Griz lol i have lots of hunting buddies and always wish i had more ammo lol,

I got it...but i'm a "foreigner" and no dog in this fight! :tongue3:

Whats a little "wardrobe malfunction" worth? It's not like it was on national television!:laughing7:

If you flash someone the government gets to through you in the psyc ward and talk all your guns and ammo? I better stop walking around naked then.

I never thought of it that way Arn! Maybe I should put up privacy fences, guess that is why everyone on the street scatters when I go to the mailbox?

Guess that's why the neighbor lady driving by in the morning doesn't toot her horn when she sees me through the bay window sitting at my computer . She is afraid I might stand up and wave .:laughing7:

Seriously though, I live in the middle of no where but we do get some traffic on my road from time to time including a school bus and in the summer it can get mighty hot. I still like to have my morning coffee outside and on occasion in the nude. LOL

On a serious note I am affraid if they start doing stricter background checks and go by medical reports some of our veterans if not all will have a problem obtaining a gun or ammo. That really concerns me.
