Found this on top of a sandstone bluff, there is no quartz in the area, but there is limestone with the occasional calcite crystal but they are small and usually fossil replacements. this was found near some flakes and a small arrowhead. It looks like its came from the river but all the river rock is brown flint, limestone, and occasional bits of shale. I'm trying to decide if it has been imported or just a rare local rock. so I was wondering if someone could clarify whether this looks like quartz, quartzite, or calcite.
