Calaveras River near Jenny Lind Calif

Was wondering if anyone has tried this area recently. On google earth map there is a bridge going over the Calaveras River near Jenny Lind, and to the left of that maybe 1/4-1/2 mile there are tailings everywhere. Just wondering if anyone knew if the land was private, or if anything was comeing out of the river at the bridge.

That area was worked with large dredges and doodlebugs many years ago.You can check with the assesors office at the county seat in San Andreas for maps and land status.Use to be ranch land and now lot's of houses all around.Get a copy of the green book...Calaveras county report#2 mines and mineral resources of Calaveras county........Dave
