Cahokia mounds

Inside info; please do not let anyone know.
Thanks.

Inside info: Its a long drive.

"You want to go to jail?" from Mr. Lowbatts.
It is not only a National Historic Landmark but also
UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Never got into much of prehistoric places, not my cup
of tea.

120 mounds spread over 6 square miles ...

Been 25 years since I have been there; folks tell
that it has been built up with better buildings, and
such.

Never thought that much of it.
If your out that way and have never seen it,
take it in; otherwise................

displays and a bunch of hills.
Like I said, Never got into prehistoric interests.

have a good un............

my bud tells of stories of buried gold, believe he found a gold coin a few years ago and arrowheads rock.....and its definatly an overniter.also yer always welcome Sherm

His land was turned over more than a hundred years ago by searchers who tore that place to pieces.

But hey if you're looking for goodies dropped by those early grave robbers then have at it. Don't go near the boundary with a metal detector in your hand. Don't be seen driving around the area with one either. That place comes in close to some spots like Gettysburg in terms of protection.

Heck, my uncle's farm has produced buckets of arrowheads, axes, ads, all stone. It's just down the road from me.

lets go,save me a loooooong trip but i'd still like to check out his land,ya can't find everything, always something left

There's plenty of arrowhead hunting within a lunch break of your house. Silly man!

silly silly silly silly,..............a where should i be taking my lunch?

Remember, early a.m. and if you see the farmer, let him know you're just walking around and won't do it after planting if it's okay with him.
