or should I say "Montin Speek"

That is exactly my point. The folks around here pronounce it "CASH-AAAAAY" but according to webster (the link) it is KASH. and drop the AAAAAAY. Although who really cares what you scream when you find one.

on the proper Pronouncement. This was where I
got my Take.

Intresting side note: (at least to me :P )
Depending on Translator used,

the French say "cachette"
Spanish "reserva" or "escondrijo"
Germans "Cachespeicher" (pronounce That ) or "Pufferspeicher"
Italian for Cache "nascondiglio"
the Dutch "Opslagplaats" or "geheim voorgeheugen"

Around here (Australia) we say (or atleast who I talk to) say Kay-sh (as in 'K'-sh).

That way you can't get confused between finding $10 (cash) and finding $10 million (cache)!

According to Alta Vista Babel Fish. "Cache" ('kash) is French for "hide" and "Cachette" ('kash-aye) is French for "hiding place". So, you find a cache in a cachette. Maybe we should call then "Freedom Hides".

Its cash to me, rarely hear someone say "cashay" . For the gold term its placer, pronounced PLASSER, like plaster without the "T".
