"Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

Hey All,

I'm telling you, it has not been above freezing in I don't know how long. You can't go outside because the windchill will cut through you like a hot knife through butter. The snow is so thick that sledding is out of the question (along with the windchill). Its one thing to know that you can't detect, its another to know that even when the weather is better, there is still going to be a foot of snow on the ground, not even to mention the ice.

I have watched the same old movies over and oveer again (you can only watch City Slickers and Back to the future I, II, and III so much). I think what is worst of all is that the kids are stuck in the house with me :o ;D ;D

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

well i just looked at the weather for this side of pa and the temps are to be up in the 40's by the end of the week, so maybe it is almost over and we can escape from the house for awhile.

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

Toby....That's what happens when you buy your detector in the middle of winter! ;) :D

I should know, because I got mine for Christmas two years ago. What a looooooong wait until spring! ::)

Just be happy that you don't live in Redfield, NY...They have 12 feet of snow on the ground. It'll be July until that melts!

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

Toby, try these movies:
Usual Suspects
National Treasure
Master and Commander
U-571
Pirates of the Caribbean
Captain Ron (A Great/clean Family flick!)
What About Bob (Another good/clean family flick)
The Last Of The Mohicans ( great score, great scenery.)
Jewel of the Nile
Romancing the Stone
A Year of Living Dangerously
The Bounty (With Mel Gibson & Anothy Hopkins)
....and I could go on and on....in the same boat here too and hating every minute of it!

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

Hey Treasure

I have to laugh, I have seen everyone of those movies!!! They are all good! I have a few of them, I should put them on my snowed in list. Thanks for reminding me!

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

Toby.....LOL I have them all too! Jeeezzzz....this is sad!......and too funny! So what kind of movies are you in the mood for......believe me......I have quite a winter library full of them!

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

First the snow and the cold, then a very brief spring tease, and now freezing rain to 3/4 inch with wind gust up to 40mph. "Grab the flashlites, the candles, some firewood, "2" bottles of wine.....and a good book!" This isn't exactly how I had planned my weekend! lol

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

I know- we need an indoor treasure hunt!!! Not sure how it would work though ??? We folks from this area are really doomed in the weather dept.!!!!! Keep thinking warm thoughts!

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

Hide & Seek.... ???.bury some treasure throughout the spring/summer/fall in your house or where you know you can get to it in the winter time, don't mark it at all, then when winter comes....go hunt for the lost treasure.....

I know, it's weird/stupid, but I'm bored what can I say...The wind is killing us here...can't even get to the car without freezing your $(#!(*'s off, now they're calling for freezing rain, sleet and snow on Sunday, just what we need.....going crazy here.... :)

Re: "Cabin Fever, Thats what I Got"

Toby, trust me you are not alone with the cabin fever, I've also got it. ;D
