It's the same as a Bounty Hunter Discovery 2200 I believe. It's okay for a starter unit. I started out with a similar BH unit, also has a Discovery 3300 for a while. I think yours is basically the same unit as the 3300 without the pinpoint feature. Now get out there and start digging!

This is kinda its own thing as per Cabela's request. Its not uncommon for First Texas Products to customize existing models to a certain specification for a customer, In this case Cabela's. Now to the best of my knowledge the Treasure Hunter is like the Discovery 2200 or the Elite 2200 only without the "Zap" feature.
First Texas Products would be more than happy to explain your models features, and it only costs a phone call.
I will tell you this, I have used the 2200 series with the Fisher 11" DD coil and NEL coil's, and it really brings the unit into something great. some would say its not worth the money, I will tell you it is!! It helps the Target separation, the depth and ground mineralization.

I have the Discovery 2200 and the Treasure Hunter is the same except without the zap feature. If I start encountering a bunch of screwcaps or pull-tabs I will hit the zap button and eliminate those.Nothing more discouraging than a pull-tab or screw-cap.I like the Discovery 2200,finds alot of clad coins, need to do some research and hit some of the older homesteads around here and find some silver or gold.I live close to a place where there used to be an old stage coach inn and road that used to go across a stream which is now a river since the lock and dams have been built.
