CA hunting

Anyone else hunting in CA? Im thinking of ordering a few boxes of halves. So far I have been about 1/5000 on dimes, found three so far. Just wondering if people have found CA to be dry.

I'm sure there's other people hunting there. In general though, there is more silver on the east coast than the west.

There are plenty of hunters in CA, i am sure, but you cant just make your decision whether or not to hunt in your area based on their responses, they might live a hundred miles away from you. If you want to see whether or not you will get silver in half boxes, you just have to try it yourself, and hope to get lucky.

Theres plenty of silver in CA ! you just have to work harder than other states :-)

Im going to order my first half dollar boxes on Friday. Hopefully I score some keepers! In the mean time ill keep with the dimes since those seem consistent.

What part of Ca? Silver is all over. I'm in California and do very well. You need to find a routine
of doing it without screwing it up for you and others. Find a bank that will take your halves in bags
and talk to the tellers, let them know the plan. Volume is the key.

The plan is to order from Wells Fargo and deposit into my account at my credit union, perhaps set that up with a few other banks. So far the tellers at WF and BOA have been cool with me buying dimes, one WF manager got pissy when I asked to trade my opened boxes for unopened, said she would have to charge me. So now ill be ordering from one and dumping into another, about 2 boxes per week im thinking.
