Dug this up today. George passed away in 1899 and his land went to probate and then sold, except for 150 acres for Rosa (Rosetta) dowry being the only daughter.
If Rosa was allowed to choose which land, I would guess the part with the homestead. I checked the area listed on the 1930 map for Patton and found
a couple. Family?

Ken did you find Patten on the 1930s plat? I am very interested in this cache lead. I thought I had found it once but now I can't find it so not sure if I am thinking of another lead.
