Drove 3 hours to this lake. It gets pretty busy in the summer when it has completely thawed out. There were trillions of bugs all around, in our ears, ears, nose and hair. Once the cold north on-shore wind kicked up, those little cowards left! I used the Infinium in the water, and the GTI 2500 on the dry sand. Both machines got some loot and jewelry. My buddy dug up an old rifle (less the stock) in the lake. He is going to use some electrolysis on it to see what it looks like under all that rust.

Here's my take. A little loot and some jewelry made the trip a success!

OK......here's how it was done. I punched the water scoop into the dry sand, then leaned my GTI 2500 against it so that the front face of the electronics was level at 180 degree. Then I set my camera on the face of the detector, and used the 10 second auto shoot to get both of us on the photo. I think I learned that trick on MacGyver :sign13:

Well John, Ya did great.. lol who woulda thought MacGyver.. either way ya did fantastic..
