BX Cable ?

its about 25 cents a pound. and the outer layer is usually steel but sometimes it is made of aluminum. its worth more to strip it so if you can you should try.
 

Your best bet is to sell it as is to someone who may need it. Try Craigs List. Measure it, see how much it costs at Home Depot, and charge a bit less.

Otherwise, I would separate the wires from the sheath. The wires are copper and can be sold with the insulation on, or can be stripped for a little better price. The sheathing, if it's not magnetic, is aluminum, which can be sold as-is. You'll definitely come out better if you separate the two.
