Anyone happen to have a working, but used sluice layin around they wouldnt mind selling dirt cheap? =P

I'm in wisconsin so i dont have the best area to sluice in, but i did it with TerryC once and im addicted, i have about 30 lbs of cons at home i need to run through and panning a spoonful at a time w/o a classifier is rough.....

If u have small mesh classifiers i could use em cheap as well....

Might have some silver coin to trade if prefered.

I'm sure someone out there has something they dont need anymore, or has upgraded to a better model.......if so let me know.......throw me a bone =P

Alpha, just sell some of that silver. Classifiers aren't too much (go to Wallyworld and buy a collander) and look on craigslist for a sluice.

Alpha are you any good at making things yourself.
Try the bucket classifier http://www.coloradoprospector.com/EquipmentPlans/Classifier.html
I like the small 2Gal. buckets.

Good plans in PDF http://www.gpex.ca/pdfs/Sluice Combo.pdf
Are you doing any good over there? I went up to the Wausau GPAA outing last week end.
:headbang:
I will keep my eyes out for a good used sluice for ya.
The clean up sluice made out of a piece of rain gutter with ribbed mating looks easy to make.

I wish i were some good at making stuff myself, but im horrible. The bonus for me is i fly for free so i can make day trips every now and then to pan....right now money is also a factor.....cant afford a new sluice, or anything so im just using this pan i got from a rummage sale a couple years ago. =(. Wish i had access to a sluice in my area......a blue bowl would be even better (I think thats what their called....for getting through cons)......but those are well out of my price range.....

Heck if i had the money i'd buy the thing i saw on ebay ($250) that you mix with the flux and you can melt ydown you own gold using just a 1200 watt microwave...

Hi Alpha,
Get yourself a 4 ft length of corrigated drainage pipe, the kind that landscapers use for drainage around buildings. Make sure it is solid though as they do come perferated also. Any hardware store should have it or someone who supplies pipe laying companies. Some of the home improvement stores like Lowes and Menards carry it. You can get it from 4" up to 12" is most common. I would go with 6". Cut it in half lengthwise and you have a ready made sluice with built in ripples. Old George "Buzzard" Masse use to call it the poop tube sluice. Pretty effective and cheep. Maybe a buck or two a foot.
Good Luck!

Alpha I have a Blue Bowl I will trade with you for some silver if that will help you out.
I have the clips to mount in on a 5 gal bucket and some dish washer hose and fittings to hook it up to your kitchen sink. Send me an E-Mail and we can set it up. :headbang:
