Im not going to out anyone at this time but i recently purchased two one pound bags of gold dirt and when they arrived i was very upset and went thru both bags and there was nothing but very fine particles smaller than sand and also very flat flakes Half the size of a pencil eraser and when touched they would disingrate, They were that small nothing to pick up with a tweezer just the tip of your wet finger.I did what i could and put inside a small vial and was so disapointed after looking at nothing.
I called the company and left a detailed voicemail message and was contacted back quickly by a person under the manager and was promised that they were sending two more bags out and were very sorry and i would be very suprised and very happy,Well the order was processed and sat there almost 15 days before shipping and i went to Florida, and was notified that the box was waiting for me to get home, I was so excitied and could not wait for that 800 mile ride home to pan thru what was promised by them to make me very happy.

I was very tired and could not wait to look at what was promised after the first two bags were nothing i got out my pinpointers and went thru both bags and could not get any signal to make sure they were working i cut a staple in half so it would be very small and buired it and all i could get a signal on was the bit of staple, There was nothing inside either dirt gold bag that would register any signal, There were tiny particles and just a few tiny flat small flakes not sure if they were gold very dark and off color,
I left another message and was apoligized a few times they told me that they were suppose to notify the manager prior to shipping and nothing was followed and that does not explain the long delay in shipping my product out to me. Well last week i talked to the same person again and that person was very upset that there people did not follow proper prcedure and i received two more empty bags after being promised how happy i would be,
Well its been seven days and im waiting for UPS to come and im just so hurt that this happens and wonder if because gold has risen could they have people stealing them blindley all of what i was able to recover out of four one pound bags will not fill up the vial close to a quarter way its a 2 inch vial and the product is so small and mixed with alot of sand you cant seperate in the vial i still cant get the pinpointer to emit a sound and i have tried very hard i even cut the staple in half again and it picks it up, A staple half the size of a grain of rice.
The managers assistent has been very nice and right on top of taking care of this problem but there is no gold and someone is getting the product. The next two bags should be here this week im praying. How would others respond and do top companys do this for a reason, IM praying i receive what i was promised because im wanting to invest in highbanker and try other forms of detecting beside beach detecting.
Please will other people explain should i just let it go or do you thing they really are trying hard and the shipping people could be dishonest, The product looks like it has gold but nothing regisiters and the product is so small and when touched discingrates upon touch, I wont out the company because they have been very kind and not evasive, Just please make me happy. ???

That's a tough one. It's sort of like rolling the dice when you buy ore concentrate from somebody. Sometimes you'll get a good bag, sometimes a bad bag. We have a mine down here that sells the ore concentrate on several different levels of concentration, and from what I hear it always produces at least as much as you invest into it. I can't vouch for that though, as I don't buy concentrate from the mine. I prefer to make myself sore and tired digging my own out of the ground.

As far as being made whole, it sounds like you're already so frustrated with the process that nothing they could do would make you whole, so I'd suggest just chalking it up to experience and finding a different supplier, or digging your own. There's no guarantees in the hunting game. A bag of dirt from a vendor is expensive. A bag of dirt from your shovel is mostly free. A return of zero on zero investment is a lot better than a return of zero on a $100 investment. You'd be better off coin roll hunting than buying sand. At least you can turn the skunks back in for cash.

i guess it would depend on how much i spent on the concentrates. a dollar a pound or ten dollars a pound. you say 1/2 the size of a pencil eraser, thats a good size but it should not decintegrate. are you panning it twice? i always pan first, classify, rerun thru a 5 foot long rain gutter with v groove rubber mat glued down hooked up to a recirculating pump to save heavy black sand and micro gold. reclassify to 30 mesh and again to 100 mesh and run thru my blue bowl. look at your material in a glass jar using a 20 or 30 x loupe, you may see flour gold that way.

:'( NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER waste your cash on a bag a trash to learn panning. Lead shot,bb's anything works. If you need a gold fix--- :icon_scratch: here's a novel idea :icon_sunny: BUY GOLD and not worthless sand-John

I wouldnt buy it from a company. Companies are out to make money. For every one person that complains about a bag from a company theres probably many more customers that are dissatisfied that dont bother complaining. But new people are always coming along and thus these companies stay in buisness. Not saying they are all like that but some definately are.

I would buy from individuals that are trustworthy and theres usually a few on every gold forum, including here that I would buy from. Thats just saying If I bought concentrates (which is a big if) but who knows maybe after 3-4 years of finding no shine I might change my tune.

Well this past week the company sent me a nice suprise in the mail to make up for what was missing in the bags and this person im very happy with because they followed thru with there promise.I do not wish to name the company or the person but its ashame that alot of people loose out when they purchase products like myself did, Up till receiving the extra suprise i had lost interest in investing in other directions to search for gold,Now after receiving real pickers it made me happy,Thanks if the company reads this but out of respect i will not name the company or person that made me a happy person, Thank You. :wav:

O.K. first,am I reading this right, that you are just running a pinpointer over the dirt to find the gold? Are you buying cons to detect the dirt?If so do as John advised and buy some "pickers" and put them in some dirt! Not many of the cons you buy are going to be loaded with gold that is easily detected! They are for panning.

I am not a company, but at certain times of the year I have concentrates, that are not salted, you get it right out of the box.I assure you customers WILL LET YOU KNOW IF THEY ARE UNHAPPY,and I have very few, most complained about the great amount of black sand(dont buy from me if you dont like black sand). There are quite a few fellows on this forum that will attest to my concentrates if you interested.Dont expect "detecting",cons though

kugar is a trusted member!!! glad they made it right. but still chalk up as expierience,if you want real cons get from a trusted member, but real cons are mostly black sand (hard to pan) thats why most dredgers use poop-tubes,spirals,blue -bowls or something along those lines to finish cons.always save your cons-esp.if you are just getting started ,trust me you will miss some.you need to re pan all of your cons, and use jet-dry for fine retention.real cons are loaded with fine-fine gold.after you get all you can see -there is still more than you think in them...

Well spoken Strick, and thank you!!!! :icon_thumleft:

Figure out the cost and you won't buy it. There is a guy selling one pound of paydirt on ebay for $29.95 plus $10.99 shipping. If you go thru his numerous auctions you will see that hs is selling about 75 pounds a week. Do the math!

$29.95/pound = $59,900.00 per ton! Do you know of a concentration of gold anywhere that has approximately 60 ounces per ton?

Even at $1.00 per pound for paydirt you are paying $2,000.00 per ton! $2,000 per ton would be about 62 parts per million! Mining companies will mine 1 ppm, some will mine even less! Doubtful that you could find a piece of ground with 60ppm.

One of the mines around here sells cans of what they call "super high grade gold concentrates" for $125.00 per gallon can. Supposedly it's 75 gallons of ore concentrated in to one gallon. And they sell them by the truckload. I've never panned any of it, so can't attest to it's value... but they sell the heck out of it. Then again, this is a big tourist town and a lot of people will buy stuff they never thought they would buy in the first place, and will never complain because they don't realize they've been suckered even after the fact.

Hi all , What I do Is this: When out at the claims I just work on getting the soil down to concentrates. Then bring it home and put it in some 5 gallon buckets. My Buddy's do the same. When I get time I run it through someones goat or pan it out. Fortunately, I don't buy gold concentrates from Companies. There in it for a profit.

I don't know how many people on this board have the capability and gear to process 1400 lbs of -500 mesh pay. I would personally look into getting a custom run of by a commercial firm. There are plenty of such companies listed in the ICMJ.. You don't have to hassle with mailing orders and you keep all your value... and can sell at the markets highpoints.. jmho

I did both bought sand so I can learn gold natural color texture but I used bbs and fishing sinkers to start off with

Not to be a downer, but I read a few stories weeks back where a common practice was to seed these bags to keep you coming hoping for more.

Maybe we should all do that?

...everybody does not do that:icon_thumleft:

his post in general claims 350 mesh....am I to believe a 30 yr mining professional does'nt even know what his own milling equipment provides? Can a regular member sell stuff here?also he already posted the assay at 2-4 ounces per pound...lmao...oh,and get this, there are no base metals in it and can be processed with a wheel or sluice..ummmm...uh huh.platinum and gold at 500 mesh and visible to the naked eye....uh huh.and he is offering a 50/50 split with anyone with the super rare expertise to process it with a wheel or sluice...uh huh.and none of his mining buddies are interested in making 150k in a day...uh huh.

personally I wouldnt touch this with a ten foot pole.

just registered here?nope...registered 4 months ago.pfffffft.

G'Day Ronald, Just buy the gold in the wieght you require and mix it in your own dirt when it arrives, the postage is a lot cheaper and you get what you ask for, thats what I do for my grandchildren, it keeps them amused for hours and they keep what they find.
