I went out this week to try and find some more buttons. Came back with two but was told one was probably late 1800's. The other is a forage cap. I was surprised at the detail. The decorative piece could possibly be off a rifle. I also found what appears to be a british enfield round that the confederates might have used. It has a hole drilled in the bottom. Was told that could have possibly came from a bullet worm. Reason was the british put their bullets backward in the paper cartridge. The soldier might have put the bullet in backwards and had to use a wormer to pull it out. The big piece of metal is a shoe horn it came out of the same hole as the forage button. I did find a pewter shirt button, and a 1912 wheatie.
