✅ SOLVED Button?

I found this item (assuming it's a button) in the Niagara Falls region of Ontario. It's badly corroded with no distinguishable markings. It's quarter size. The only things that stand out are three evenly-spaced prongs along the the back.

Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated!

On my cell it resembles a rivet button (like on Levis) or one side of a 2 piece snap button, everything points to modern.

Looks like whats left of a molly bolt anchor??

Those prongs I would guess were to fasten it (the male part) to a material like leather, canvas, etc.

I never even considered this, but the rivet-button look with those prongs certainly does fit with a t-nut. Thanks!
