Hello Everyone! A friend of mine came across this while metal detecting in New Mexico. It was found near the Manzano mountain Range southeast of Albuquerque, close to an old Indian pottery field. I am not sure what it is but it is fairly heavy to be so small, leading me to believe that it may be pewter. Other then that I am really unsure about what it is at all. Was wondering if anyone had an idea? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

To resize pics....open with paint.....go to resize "skew"......punch in 25% on both horizontal and verticle. That will make smaller pics for you to post.

It looks like it might be a bridal rosette or saddle decoration. Old one.

I'm going for a copper or brass rivet. Stem broke and the head popped off someones harness.

It seems the bottom of an old ammunition cartridge, very run down .... or perhaps a botton, it is difficult to identify.
pretty polished nails his girl ... :D
