My boyfriend found this mysterious pin/button in my front yard about 7-8 inches down. Seems to be gold plated pewter possibly? It’s very shiny in the light! Any ideas as to the date of this object or what it could possibly be? I thought maybe some sort of political campaign pin or button? It could even be a brooch! None the less, it looks very old! Hopefully. Haha thanks! 467BCA3F-07D6-459B-9799-ED6B0EACF9D2.webpDFEDF165-F4BE-4F81-8D60-5B34204042BB.webpC638A991-AAAE-481D-A3D0-7B9E5D96E3AD.webp83DCF7E1-43C7-434C-A13D-172DE545D4E8.webp9F6232B0-8645-4294-A1AC-7F0DE6AC5801.webp82B521C6-372E-406F-B70C-1B3FD5D1C0D0.webp

the attachment thing on the back looks like the same as a cuff link. The size of the item is a little large for a cuff link , but not entirely out of the question. Also looks to be made of heavily plated pot metal or zinc, so it's not as old as the image of the top hat guy may suggest. my guess is that it was made perhaps in the late 1940's.

That image of a dandy leads me to believe it's a logo of sort like Johnnie Walker whiskey. Also I guess it could be a fashionable blazer button.?

Based on the metal which looks to be either pot metal or zinc, I'm thinking your piece dates to the early 20thc.
The back portion is a mystery to me though? :icon_scratch:
