It's a gilt button, c. 1820's-40's. "Superior Orange Colour" is what's called a "quality" backmark, and refers to the gilt finish. The spelling Colour suggests British manufacture, although I believe that some American buttonmakers may have used it as well.

Are buttons like this worth anything?

Values for plain-faced gilt buttons with quality backmarks can run anywhere from a few bucks for common ones in dug condition with shank/eye missing, light scratches and corrosion, etc., on up to $50 or more for nice ones with quite a bit of gilt remaining, shank intact, and a scarce or unusually appealing backmark. Some of the early ones with uncommon name backmarks can be worth much more.
