Button Id's
OK, here are three buttons found in an area that has Rev War activity as well as Civil war activity in NC.
1. Only have front of two piece button, looks like the jewish star of David and has scalloping around edges , 20 mm in size and lots of gold gilt.Hard to tell what's inside the star, but looks like a crown on top of a beehive or something like that. Haven't seen anything like that in any books.
2. Looks like a one piece, shank attached, flat cuff NC eight pointed star with a very tight sqeeze of letters "NC" in middle. 13 mm in diameter and writing or design on back hard to read or make out lettering.
3. Another 13 mm in diameter cuff one piece flat button, bend but attached shank. Appears to be 5 crowns with a cannon ball in center. Writing on back is there but undiscernable.
Any help identifying any or all of these would be appreciated.
