The first two pics are a button like item I dug in a 1860s yard. I never thought much of it until I saw a guy dig one online with the same rib on the back with same diamond mark where a shank may have been. He was on a colonial site.
The next pic is a early button for my area, can anyone help ID it by the shank style? Seems to have a silver wash finish. It was found in a home/camp site pre and post civil war.
The last two gold colored buttons came from a early 1900s yard. Curious on age. They seem hollow. No marks.
