This button was found on an 1800s farm property in New England. The back of the button is not legible to me and has a design around the circle. It appears to be a two part button?? It is not attracted to a magnet. It was a rounded top button vs. flat and has a plain front. Unfortunately I didn't save the photo of the front and the button was given back to the property owner where I found it. Is there enough info. to garnish a little history about this? I am guessing early 1800s civilian...but not sure. Thanks for looking.

I can see a backmark between the two dots but can't quite make it out. If it is a two piece button it would date from around 1840 on.

Its a slightly concave 1 piece.
Probably 'triple gilt' with the rest filled in with a wreath.
