Found recently while detecting in NE Florida. Can anyone help me ID this button?

The quarter was from an earlier hunt and is there for size reference.

The charm came out of the same area and it says Love Sue 7-65 on the back (that I can tell) And possibly Maynard Sterling.

Your button with that backmark is in Albert's book on page 35. It was referred to as the "Great Coat" button. If you don't want it you can mail it to me.:laughing7:
It could have been made as early as the 1820s.

I didn't find it in the latest North South Trader Price Guide. I think I would be inclined to clean it just a little. Don't use anything harder than water. But there are good arguments for leaving it untouched.
