I posted this button a while ago but never got a definite ID. Can anybody tell me about it and age? I believe it's a British artillery button. But why 3 cannons any help would be great!

Yes British Royal Artillery and there was 3 cannons on them since about 1785. I'd say it dates 1820s/30s maybe.

According to the best website on historical British Military buttons -- and dating them -- your ball-button showing a British royal crown atop three "stacked" cannons, with NO OTHER EMBLEM (such as a shield or a wreath or three dots) is a British Royal Artilery button dating from 1840 to 1855.
