That type of EXTRA QUALITY backmark is a Waterbury Button Company one that was used in the 1860's. Think you got a winner. :thumbsup:

It is the design between the words that ID's it as that type of button.

I have found several of these...most are squished flat between these darn Missouri rocks that seem to shift and flatten all of your finds....Does anyone know if it was just on cuffs, or was it collars as well?
