Button ID help

A friend of mine recently found a button in a CW camp. I dont yet have a pic of it to post but I will describe it to the best of my memory. It is a high dome , 3 piece button like that of a Civil War NY coat button. In the center of the button is a shield..same size and shape as the shield of a NY button. Protruding from the top of the shield are flags (3 flags if my memory serves me correctly). Beneath the shield is a ribbon that may have some lettering across it. Above the shield, across the top of the button is the word "CONNECTICUT". This is NOT a Connecticut state seal button but I haven't been able to find a button like it online. Any help would be appreciated.
