I found this flat button a few weeks back and posted it in todays finds hoping someone might have some info on it. I have been looking for some info since then but I am still stumped. It is a good picture, maybe someone on here might have better luck than i have had. As you can see the eagle is on the back of the button and where the shank used to be is a sheild. You can make out some of the back mark around the eagle. The front
might have had something on it but is long gone now. Has anyone ever heard or have seen and eagle on the back of a flat button? Even the era of this button is puzzeling. Thanks for looking. To the left of the eagle i can make out the letter aA??A?? and to the right of the eagle i can make out L?N?AT?D there might be a few letters hiding on the left of the eagle that are completely hidden. There are also stars like this * above and below the eagle. hope this helps.
