Can anyone help with the ID of this button. I thought military with possible eagle and wreath on bottom rim....
 

I can’t make out what the top says either, and the back is wiped...

That is the back, you have pictured, of a 1 piece flat button. You can see the point where the loop was attached. I would date it 1810-1830 give or take a few years.

That makes sense. Do you know if it’s military, is that an eagle?

The photo shows the brass 1-piece flatbutton's back (and thus, its backmark), not its front. The bird is a crude American Eagle, intended to designate American rather than British manufacture, which was important to American customers for about 10 years after the US-vs.-Britain War Of 1812.

On flatbuttons, the word "Plated" in a backmark always meant silver-plated. The word "Gilt" meant gold-plated... which is a term that never appears in flatbutton backmarks.
