Button ID. Found near 1830's house

This button was the deepest target I have dug in a very old house yard. My best guess is that it is script letters "CMR", which kinda sounds military to me? Anyway, I know some of you guys are ace's at this, so I thought I would give it a shot. Thanks in advance for any help in ID'ing it.
Regards,
Jon Dickinson
P.S.- The back is open w/o any hallmarks.

You guys are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had previously found a 3 ring bullet in the property, so I had a feeling this button was civil war era.
