I WENT THROUGH ALL 17 PAGES...CANNOT ID THESE MILITARY BUTTONS! HUSBAND FOUND THEM AT A SCHOOL WE USED TO GO TO.

THIS IS WEIRD: I THINK THEY ARE ELEPHANTS WITH SMALL LITTLE ROUND HATS. BUT WITH LION BODIES. I SWEAR THE TRUNKS ARE ATTACHING TO THE SHIELD. THERE IS A LION IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CREST/SHIELD WITH A CROWN ON THE TOP! WE ARE DEBATING ALSO ON THE LETTERING UNDER THE SHIELD... REVAINVIEML ? ARE WE CLOSE TO ANYTHING? WE CANNOT MAKE OUT THE 1ST LETTER REAL WELL. THE LAST TWO ARE IFFY! THANK YOU FOR ANY INFO. YOU MAY HAVE!

The Button With The Crest Looks Like A Common Blazer Button, The Other Looks To Me To Be a Dress Button. PBK, Could Have More Info. trk5capt...

Trk5capt nailed 'em both! The top one is a classic blazer button... thin, die-stamped brass, with steel/tin back; heraldic crest and Latin or pseudo-Latin motto; probably post-1950. Based on its similar construction, as well as the stamped self-shank, the dress button would appear to be of about the same vintage.
