Button ID? CW?

My wife got this in the field tonite, what kind is it? I have seen CW buttons with an "I" on the eagles shield but not a "C" can you ID it for me?
I cannot get a good pic of the backmark from the corrosion

Looks like a Union Calvary cuff button! Nice find!

C for Calvary, I for Infantry, A for Artillery Those are the more common eagle letters. Nice button.
