Button ID - Browning King & Co letter “H”

I found this two piece button with what I believe is a capital “H” on it. The backmark is Browning King & Co. I know they made buttons from 1860-1930 or so. It has a bit of gilt left in places. I’m not sure what the H would be for. I’ve seen old English P buttons for police and FD buttons for fire department etc. any help or clues would be greatly appreciated!
