Thank you for correcting the problem with viewing the photo.

Your photo shows the button upside-down. It is a "Career Uniform" button. The initials on it (UT Co) represent the Union Traction Company. It is still being sold by its manufacturer, the Waterbury Button Co. of Waterbury CT. You can view that information (and a photo showing the same button) on that company's website, at: 6859 - Companies - Waterbury Button

Here's a photo showing the correct orientation of the button you dug, and another showing the button at the Waterbury Button Co. website.

Here's some additional information about your Union Traction Co. button. After I identified its type, I got curious about what kind of a "Career Uniform" button it is. Turns out it is for the uniforms of an Electric Railroad company. You can read its history here: A Brief History of Union Traction Co. of Indiana
