Found on an Eastern Long Island NY farm field, along with other 1800's stuff:

That looks more like a sign reflector or bicycle. Maybe even a jewel light indicator.

is that glass or stone- I have found malachite buttons before--

Glass cuff link button.................made over a broad period.Would go well with your other finds most likely late 18th early 19th century.You can see others like it on these sites.

I've found the glass jewel from them before but yet to find the hole button.
