Button help

Hey guys, I need a button expert. Found this eagle flat button today at a site that we have found many old buttons. It's in rough shape and I'm still working on getting the details to come out. It has an eagle with a shield and is surrounded by stars. I think it says " E Pluribus Unum" The image appears to be pressed into the button because the reverse is on the back. Any help with a date or other info would be appreciated.
