Tough call on the button. Looks like a flat button. Any markings on the back ? You can post the point in North American Indian Artifacts forum, and someone there will be able to help you with that.
 

Due to the marks on the back, the button is first quarter of the 19th century. Nice point. I'm jealous.

Yup, I'd guess around 1830 or so. Nice find. As for the point's age, likely much much older, but alas I'm not the expert on those. Congrats on two nice finds!
